ThiS iS ThE PLaCe!

My Sister has recently come into town from Portland. Which of course calls for a LoNg list of fun things to do while she's here! We started our adventures at This is the place state park! It was fun! The kids, I think, enjoyed it alot... Even though we didnt realize you have to be on the pony rides and hay rides BEFORE 430. So we weren't able to go on them (just a side note if you plan to go)! We originally wanted to do an evening excursion, but this prevented that. So our men werent able to join, Although we missed them lots!
We took the train ride around the park and were dropped off at the happening spots in the little deseret town.

Our first stop was deseret news. The kids were able to stamp their own newspaper clipping!

We went to the General store which was cool with the Candy and ToYs! Weston picked up, none other than, a GuN while Lys stayed cool with her new fan...

We went to the Huntsman Hotel and had YuMMy IceCream! It was SO good on such a hot day!

The kids took a brief class on learning the Deseret language..

They did let us visit some of the animals..

Westons favorite part...

Logan giving the CuTe little eyebrow raise he gives! He is his mothers child! ;) (Refer to next photo)

And Gage.. poor SWEET Gage. He wasnt feeling so well... and giving him a little motrin made him feel a LiTTLe better for the time being. Even not feeling good, he is still SO GoOd!

The 'StaKeR' Cabin! Good ol' Joseph Staker built this one. Wished I could tell you he is my Fathers Great Great Grandfather.. but I have no clue where he falls into the Staker scheme of things. I better get on that geneology! As my father would tell me though.. 'If he's a Staker.. we're related".

And...

The Moms that made it all possible. Thanks for the fun day!

That place was a lot cooler than I thought it was going to be. It reminds me of all the church sites back East. We all had fun! And, little Lolo is so cute! :)

I will have to go back. We went one night after the zoo and everything was closed. So we didn't do much except run around on the grass!

You got some great pictures, I'll need to get copies of the ones with my kids. It was a fun little trip. We'll have to go back again when we have a little more time and when it isn't so dang hot!!!
