I nurse as long as possible:
I realize this isnt even as close as its going to get to being a real Mess.. But I always forget the stage of sticky messes head to toe when learning to eat between weening and well.. probably 2 1/2? or is it 12 years of age for boys? Sometimes I wonder why I bathe them. Just OnE of the joys! :)

I love his little grin in that picture. I swear you need to strip them down naked and then hose them off when they are done.
Cute pic... But I have to say... and Nursing is easier? WHA? I beg to differ... I've learned the joy of feeder bottles, bibs and feeding them small bites. It's a HECK of a lot easier than getting dressed/undressed 15 times a day in public! Oh, well, more power to ya, Sista!
I loved nursing! SO easy no mess - I still get frustrated trying to get her to eat - even though she hasn't nursed for 2 years now. I agree with the whole sticky thing!
