Mt. Timp. Its a beautiful place! Since we weren't able to get to the top the last go round, We set another date to go again! Well, I should give more credit to Temple for arranging it than myself. However, I knew I would get up again there sometime before fall. Temple has made a group on Facebook the "Tuff Chix Outdoor Adventure Club" and invited all the girls in there to go with as well. One other girl showed. Cheryl. What a 'TuFF GirL'! She brought her friend Anthony who is a 'Trail Runner' to come with because I think I have the RePuTaTioN of being the worlds worst person to hike with. HAHA! Well, so I have heard from Cody... and Temple claimed she feels his pain. lol So I was happy when Cheryl came who kept up FANTASTICALLY! And not to mention Anthony who stayed behind so we wouldn't literally be running up the mountain... which Temple seems to think we did. I don't know what it is.. Me being a Staker? I know my siblings are all the same when it comes to doing things like this. Especially Matt. I dont know if it our patience level, if we just like to push ourselves that much harder.. or all of the above. But no matter what I love being outdoors no matter what pace I am going.
It was a gorgeous day! I was sooo scared we were going to get rained on. But the morning was Beautiful on our way up the mountain. And we made PERFECT timing because as soon as we hit the saddle and were taking pictures of the valley the clouds started to form. It was AMAZING watching them grow from a tiny little cumulus cloud and turned into nimbus clouds (However thankfully we didn't get rained on)! So before we knew it we couldn't see so much of the valley so we headed to the top as fast as we could! We MAde it up in 4 hours.. hung out for a bit and headed down! We went the back way where you slide down the glacier. I remember last year it being more like a SLIDE than it was this year. It was a little bit harder to go down than I had anticipated. I don't think there has been as much traffic up there this year. I however still enjoyed it and it was a highlight of the hike! haha Temple however cant stop repeating how she will never do the glacier again. :) Fun time!
All around it took us 8 hours.... TiL next year TiMp!! You are gorgeous!!! :D

Beautiful pictures! You have inspired Mike, he wants me to try hiking it with him sometime towards the end of September. I would be more excited about it, but I've been off and on sick for the last month, and I haven't been exercising too much. Now I feel like a big tub of goo, so I'd better get off my butt and get moving!

Maur you'll have to let me know when you guys want to go. I might want to go again with you! haha I said when we were up there how it might be fun towards fall. Im sure it is soo gorgeous then as well. And let me tell you.. its been months since I have really worked out frequently, so Im sure YOU could do it ;)
sheesh, i had to fill out a lot of paper work just to post this comment. we always talk about hiking timp. just set the date, tell us when you're going...and we'll be there.
