Today was the last day of tuesday's playgroup. It always makes me sad when the kids are so close to starting school again. Its my reminder that long summer days are soon to be over. It was a pretty small group today (however I have seemed to miss the days when everyone comes. I think my presence repels the neighborhood. I swear I shower beforehand). I loved getting out of the house and having good conversation with good people while my children, usually, stay entertained. For me, playgroup was probably more for my sanity than the kids. So to all of you who have kept my tuesDaYs fun.. Thank you! I will miss seeing you! And a BiG thanks to Christina and Kate for holding it in their back yards!

That's so much fun to get together with friends! Playgroup isn't just for the kids!
FUN! We used to have a Neighborhood Playgroup too, but it kind of fizzled after a few years... We still have a weekly Swim day (at the pool) and a Mom's group that meets every week or so for outings, but I am often too tired to be up for it, (lazy slug that I am...) But I know what you mean, it is MORE for me than they kiddies! YOur post made me miss it! :)
Your so cute to post about this! I too will miss our "organized" playgroup...but who says we can't plan more as needed,(for us of course). I agree, summer seems to go so quickly and the kids are just growing up way to fast. I am so glad that I have fun friends to share it with though! Thanks guys!
I believe it is all about the Moms. What Mom doesn't need a little sanity once in a while and some good girlfriends to chat with?! Yeah I guess the kids have a bit of fun too, so everybody wins!
I'm so sad that it's over! I think it was just as much fun for the moms as it was for the kids, if not more! We will have to think of some other fun things to do once school starts to keep us all happy and the younger kids entertained! Love you all!
