We finally made it up to the Caves over the weekend! Like I said previously I've been wanting to get up with the kids all season! However Lys didnt make it with us :( We missed you, Lou.West did SuCh a fantastic Job! I was pleasantly surprised! He hiked the mile and a half hike so well! Gage did great right up until we walked in the cave, until we walked out. It was the weirdest thing. He's never acted like he did in there. However with only a ten minute nap beforehand, and not being able to crawl around and touch every cool thing in there, I couldn't be too upset. Its the most embarrassing thing as a parent feeling like you are unable to control your child in those types of situations.
I'm thinking we must have had the camera on a wrong setting though, because many of our pictures turned out blurry :( Shoot, we'll have to go again!

Our trooper with plenty of energy even when we reached the top!
Its truly amazing in there. All the little details of gods work. I wish We weren't so distracted, to pay attention more. I haven't been since I was a teen and can't recall all the fun info on them. We had to hang out at the back of the group.

The 'Heart' of the caves.
And don't forget the 'Salt and Pepper' Shakers.. had to have Cody get a picture of them! If someone were selling these, Id pass.
This morning West got up and could hardly walk. He was complaining of his foot hurting. When he went down the stairs just made me think of the day after we hiked timp watching Cody go down... HaHaHa.. They are so great to tag along with me! Thanks for the fun time Boys!

AwEsOmE! I am definately putting that on my to-do list next summer when we're out there! I'll just have to make sure Russ is with me so he can carry Bubs! :) Way to go Wes, that was a big old hike for you!
oh! I am sad. I have been wanting to go all summer too. Guess I will have to plan for next year! I haven't been in like 10 years!
You should have called us, we totally would have come! I haven't ever been there. My family went one summer when we were little but I had to stay home with my Grandma because I had the stomach flu. :(
Oh, our boys loved this hike when we did it over President's Day (earlier this year). Fun!
And cool pics! (I bought postcards... because... ahem... you aren't allowed to take photos in the cave...) :)
By the way, I mention that ONLY because I was nearly accosted by the Tour Guide/Ranger when I tried taking one of us inside the cave... (something about the light damaging the irreplaceable formations that took millions of years to be created... blah, blah... what?)
